Canada needs to boycott the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics – it’s the least we can do to stand up to the Communist regime who tries to bully us at every opportunity.
Two Canadians are still languishing in a Chinese prison on trumped-up charges.
Human rights in China are abysmal as the regime targets Christians, Falun Dafa practitioners, Uyghurs and other ethnic and religious minorities.
In fact, the Chinese regime has interned over 1 million people of the Uyghurs ethnicity – the largest mass internment of an ethnic-religious group since the Holocaust.
Meanwhile, Chinese officials are lecturing Canadian media outlets to “do more to promote China.”
And let’s not forget China lied about COVID-19, resulting in the deaths of thousands of Canadians and the destruction of our economy.
History is repeating itself.
The regime is using the 2022 Winter Olympics to distract the world from its atrocious human rights record and manufacture positive press coverage – just fascist Germany did in 1936.
A coalition of 180 human rights groups from around the world recently called for a boycott of the 2022 Olympics, labelling China’s treatment of minorities a genocide.
Canada needs to do the right thing and boycott the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
Frankly, standing up to an evil dictatorship and defending human rights and democracy is more important than sports.
If we manage to get the signatures of 20,000 Canadians, we’ll send this petition to the Canadian Olympic Committee.
